When the skin is damaged many cells come to the rescue. Some cleaning, others make collagen to fill the cup. Collagen is the cement as filling the space between two bricks, cement that is to bridge the gap and move at the same time. Nature has dealt with this by intentionally making too much collagen and the merger of certain as we heal. If we are not doing enough to melt in this natural process of casting, a thick scar results. Topique silicone is the basis of most products scar that doctors have recommended since the early 1980. An ingredient in makeup, hair and many other products we use every day, the doctors feel it is safe and effective in improving the appearance of scars. Cortisone has many beneficial effects. A component of many non-prescription products for the skin like eczema, sunburn and a rash, it is a known anti-irritant, helping to reduce the discomfort often associated with scars. Vitamin E is an oil-based vitamin. Some believe it helps improve scar appearance, others do not. We believe it helps to alleviate the scar as a moisturizer and lubricant at the very least, and is therefore useful. Doctors have recommended silicone, cortisone, bandages and vitamin E for decades. Hitherto, they were so difficult to use that patients leave before seeing the benefit. Scarguard ScarCare (r) combines all of them in an easy to use a liquid. Painted on invaded scars it dries in a few seconds to nearly an invisible film, flexible. When used every day, it helps to improve the appearance of scars. How to use: Clean affected area with mild soap and water and dry thoroughly. Brush on product twice a day to dry for 1 minute before coming into contact with clothing. Reapply if peeling occurs.
